Welcome
... to the website of Bryan Alkemeyer, PhD. I am a professional literary critic who writes about how animals were imagined before and after the Enlightenment. My goals are
- to increase knowledge about animals in literature, science, and history;
- to delight and inspire diverse audiences, within as well as beyond the academy; and
- to spark imaginations for an anti-speciesist/post-humanist future.
